Worst/ hardest dayThere were three - First when I crashed the vehicle in Mali, then when we got burnt out of camp in Zaire, and last when we were imprisoned in Mozambique.
Favourite placeMalawi, and the Nyika plateau in particular
Biggest headacheGetting visas - it meant our route always had to go through major cities
Wish I hadn'tBeen so worried about getting there
Most pleasant surpriseThe weather wasn't as hot as expected, and mosquitos were much fewer then feared - travelling at the right time of year
Any illnessNothing serious
