| Best day | Following the Dakar Rally trucks from Rissani to Tagounite via Lac Maider - but somewhat more slowly! |
| Worst/ hardest day | Crossing the spectacular Tizi-n-Tazazert pass southwards; the descent was very slow rocky then as darkness fell with 20kms to go the headlamps failed! |
| Favourite place | Erg Chebbi - magic in the sunset. Sunrise spectacular too (allegedly...zzzzz) |
| Biggest headache | Pestering kids; at least they didn't actually try to steal anything. |
| Wish I hadn't | run out of time just as we were really enjoying the country. |
| Most pleasant surprise | The truck didn't use as much fuel off-road as I had expected. |
| Any illness | None this time - we did our own cooking! |
| Other trips planned | Iceland in Summer 2007 . Morocco again next winter. |
| One overlanding tip | Don't leave trip preparations to the last minute like I always seem to do. |

| Mods you wish you'd done | Bigger diesel tank - more convenient than jerries. And some spotlamps! |
| Tyres used | Michelin XZLs, 255 100x16. Pricey, but great all-rounders.. |
| Number of punctures |
| Vehicle's weak point | Independent front suspension - but good ride and steering lock. |
| Vehicle's strong point | Just the right size at 4.5 tonnes. |
| Vehicle problems | Blasted Italian electrics...one 5 amp fuse controlling all the headlamp relays... |
| Same vehicle again? | Certainly - nine years and counting........ |
| One driving tip | Take it easy over the rocky stuff. |
