Best dayFollowing the Dakar Rally trucks from Rissani to Tagounite via Lac Maider - but somewhat more slowly!
Worst/ hardest dayCrossing the spectacular Tizi-n-Tazazert pass southwards; the descent was very slow rocky then as darkness fell with 20kms to go the headlamps failed!
Favourite placeErg Chebbi - magic in the sunset. Sunrise spectacular too (allegedly...zzzzz)
Biggest headachePestering kids; at least they didn't actually try to steal anything.
Wish I hadn'trun out of time just as we were really enjoying the country.
Most pleasant surpriseThe truck didn't use as much fuel off-road as I had expected.
Any illnessNone this time - we did our own cooking!
